MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS 2010
Use of the membership card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in your Club Membership Agreement. A valid membership card must be presented in order to receive the discounts. The membership card is not valid for special meals, room service, the business center or banquet events. Please call the hotel prior to dining visit to check on restaurant availability. Certificates must be used within validity period. Cancellation fee of NT$1,000 is imposed 7 days after purchase of membership. Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel reserves the right to change, modify and/or amend the membership terms and conditions of membership without prior notice.
1. Food and Beverage Benefits:
a) Upon presentation of a valid membership card, the member will be provided with one (1) complimentary meal when accompanied by one (1) or more dining guests, provided at least one (1) other meal is purchased. The complimentary portion of your bill is determined by dividing the total food bill (excluding beverages, taxes, 10% service charge, tobacco and gratuities) by the number of people in your dining party, and subtracting that amount from the original bill. Dining benefits are Non-Transferable. Not valid with any other promotions and/or discounts. Applicable for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea buffet in the Café at Far Eastern or lunch, dinner in the Marco Polo, Shang Palace, Shanghai Pavilion, ibuki Japanese Restaurant and/or Lounges (Lobby Court, Li Bai Lounge, Marco Polo Lounge) between (12:00-14:00 and 18:00-21:30). Limit one (1) card per table, per party, per occasion only, per meal period.
• 50% for Member and one (1) guest
• 33% for Member and two (2) guests
• 25% for Member and three (3) guests
• 20% for Member and four (4) guests to nineteen (19) guests per table or in restaurant’s private dining room
• 25% for Member dining alone
b) 10% off beverages when used in conjunction with dining benefits. Non-Transferable.
Exclusions: The membership card may not be used for special meals, room service, functions, Valentine's Days (2/14), Christmas Eve (12/24), Christmas Day (12/25), New Year's Eve (12/31), Chinese New Year’s Eve and the first and second day of Chinese New Year and Mother’s Day; Members will receive a 20% reduction on food only during the above-mentioned days.
2. Guest Room Benefits:
a) Thirty-five percent (35 %) reduction on the regular rack rate for all guest room types (excluding the Horizon Floor, Specialty Suite and Presidential Suite) upon presentation of a valid membership card. Non-Transferable. Subject to availability and prior confirmed reservation(s).
b) Thirty percent (30%) off for member’s guest(s) for all room types (excluding the Horizon Floor, the Specialty Suite and the Presidential Suites). Subject to availability and prior confirmed reservation(s). Transferable. A valid membership number must be provided at time of advance reservation for member and/or guests.
All room benefits are not valid during major trade show such as (but not limited too) Semicon, Computex, and special holidays such as New Years Holidays (the night of Dec 30 and 31), and Christmas Holidays ( the night of Dec 23 and Dec 24)
3. Lobby/Lounge Benefits: Upon presentation of a valid membership card, the member will be entitled to a 10% reduction on the total bill, including food and beverages consumed (excluding taxes, 10% service charge, tobacco and gratuities) in the Lobby Court, the Li Bai Lounge and the Marco Polo Lounge. Non-Transferable.
4. The Cake Shop:
Upon presentation of a valid membership card, the member will be entitled to a 20% reduction on all cakes, pastries and all other items at the Cake Shop. Not valid with any other discounts or promotions. Non-Transferable.
5. Spa Benefits:
25% reduction on the Spa Private Room. Non-Transferable. One (1) card per room.
6. Health Club Benefit:
10% off Health Club membership fees. Not applicable to renewals. Non-Transferable. Health Club is located on the 6th floor of the Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel.
7. CLUB HOTEL Benefits:
Member will receive one (1) complimentary CLUBHOTEL card which entitles member to enjoy Non-Transferable benefits offered by participating CLUBHOTEL hotels worldwide. TERMS & CONDITIONS
(i) Acceptance: Use of the membership card constitutes
acceptance of the terms and conditions listed herein.
(ii)
Membership Card: The membership card is the property of the issuing
agent and must be returned upon request; valid until the expiry date featured on
the membership card, which shall be one year after initial purchase date; has no
cash value and does not guarantee any dining reservation.
(iii)
Membership Benefit Conditions: All benefits are subject to
availability; valid seven days a week, unless otherwise specified,
excluding Black Out Dates below; valid until the expiry date
featured on the membership card and may not be used in conjunction with any
other discount or promotional offer. Membership discounts exclude applicable
taxes, service charges and gratuities.
(iv) Black Out
Dates: All benefits shall not be valid on the following dates: New
Year’s Eve, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, Valentine’s Day and Easter
Day.
(v) Transferable and Non-transferable Benefits:
A.
Transferable: Benefits may be used by the Member or by a Member’s
guest. The Member/Membership Card need not be present at time of guests’ use of
the benefit.
B. Non-transferable: Benefits may be used only
by the Member and upon presentation of their valid Membership Card. Proof of
identification may be required by Hotel.
(vi)
Certificates: Only one (1) set of certificates per Member per
membership term. Hotels must be notified of the intended use of certificates at
the time of advance reservation. Certificates are valid seven (7) days a week ,
unless otherwise specified, up to the expiration date printed on said
certificates and such validity will not be extended; may not be used in
conjunction with any other discount or promotional offer; and have no cash
value. Cash/Thank you Certificates: Excluding applicable taxes, service
charges and gratuities.
(vii) Modification (Hotel/Restaurant
& Benefit Changes): At the time of going to print, all hotels
detailed in the membership collateral are participating hotel(s) within the
membership program. Participating hotel(s)/restaurants may cease to honor
benefits without prior notice. Benefits may also be subject to change without
prior notice. Wherever possible, Members will be kept updated on all such
modifications. Members can also verify restaurant participation & benefits
by calling Customer Service. Membership Program marketing agent declines any
responsibility for any such modification.
(viii) Currency
Exchange: All amounts listed in US$ may be charged/calculated in local
currency using current rates of exchange.
(ix) Lost/Stolen
Membership Materials: All lost or stolen certificates will not be
replaced. Lost or stolen membership cards must be reported to Customer
Service. A processing fee of US$ 20.00 will be charged for each replacement
membership card, which will be issued with the same expiration date as the
previously issued card.
(x) Cancellations: Cancellation
of Membership will be honored up to ten (10) days from the date of issue, but no
refund will be issued until the membership card and all certificates have been
returned unused to a Customer Service Office. Refund amount will be excluding
shipping & handling charges.
(xi) Limitation of
Liability: In no event shall the owners, operators, franchisors or
licensors of any hotel that may accept the benefits of membership herein, or any
of their affiliated or subsidiary companies, or their directors, agents,
managers, or employees, or the proprietor or the marketing agent of the
Membership Program (hereinafter collectively “Protected Parties”) be liable for
any indirect, special or consequential damages; and without limiting the
generality thereof, including any loss, cost or damage to, or suffered by, the
Member or others, arising from defects, negligence, delays, failure of
performance or non-performance, including all claims, demands, obligations,
liabilities, indebtedness, breaches of contract, breaches of duty or of any
relationship, liability for acts, omissions, misfeasance, malfeasance, damages
of every type, nature or kind suffered by Members or others, resulting from the
action, or inaction of the hotel or its agents or employees in connection with
the Benefits provided to Member herein. In the event of a breach of any of the
provisions hereof by any Protected Party, the extent of any liability of any
such Protected Party shall be limited to the amounts paid by Member as a
subscription for membership in the marketing program.
