Langtry's Restaurant

  • Location

Located at the rear of the hotel
  • Cuisine

Langtry's Restaurant has recently opened its doors in the heart of Knightsbridge and offers British dishes with unique and inventive flavour combinations.

Langtry's has a wonderful history, having once formed part of the home of the famous actress, Lillie Langtry, who lived at the property from 1892 until 1897.

The décor has been subtly modernised to enhance the historic grandeur of this elegant and sophisticated dining room. Featuring high sculptured ceilings, a magnificent Carrera marble Louis XIV fireplace, oversize mirrors and an original glass chandelier, Langtry's has romantic charm.

Robert Lyons, our Langtry's new head chef, has created the new menu, and includes starters such as Beef Tea; and Thick Cut Smoked Salmon with Potato Cakes and a Shot of Lemonade. The restaurant's signature starter is Langtry’s Prawn Cocktail, which comes with prawn tempura and marie rose ice cream.

Dark green velvet twill armchairs and rich heavy saffron curtains enhance the original Edwardian chairs and existing wood panelling in the Drawing Room.

Gold stemmed lamps, elegantly shaped like bamboo shoots, adorn the room, while a hounds tooth carpet gives the impression of floor tiles.

Up-lighting from the wood panelling combined with the warm apricot hues of the traditional fabrics create a soft glow throughout the wood panelled room.

Traditional English Afternoon Tea is served every day in the comfort of the Drawing Room.
