Some of the most typical dishes include Arroz a la (rice with pork), dos y pingada (eggs and bacon on bread), asadillo de pimientos benavenanos (rep pepper and tomato stew), and lechazo asado (roast young lamb). For dessert is the tocinillo de cielo (custard caramel).
